Welcome Traylors! Our Host Committee welcomed us on Friday night with a fantastic refreshment spread.
Our Host Committee welcomed us on Friday night with a fantastic refreshment spread. Vanessa Traylor, chair of the Host Committee, invited her father and brother (Cary Clark Sr. & Jr.) from Alabama along with other members of the committee to prepare food throughout the weekend. Carl Traylor (Elijah Branch) provided us with music and a microphone. We were so grateful for the mic since the one we brought fell off of the luggage cart and gave up the ghost.
Dawn Weaver (Cary Branch) provided us with an icebreaker that got everybody talking. We may know more about our tablemates than we do our housemates!
Following the icebreaker, Margaret Traylor (Joseph H. Branch) gave us a riveting family history presentation that made it look like light bulbs were appearing above people's heads as they made connections between the stories they've heard and the family they've always known.
